Luther Alvin Worley was Nov. 22, 1915 to Leslie O. and Carrie E. Chamberlain Worley. He died July 5, 1944 and memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, North Africa American Cemetery, Tunis, Tunisia and has a cenotaph in Oakland Cemetery, Solon, IA.
Lt. Worley served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 434th Bomber Squadron, 12th Bomber Group, Medium and was MIA/FOD/KIA as the co-pilot of a medium bomber which was lost in the vicinity of Comiso, Sicily.
