Carl H. “Herbie” Blichmann was born Feb. 13, 1920 to Carl Lester and Elsie L. Rooney Blichmann. He died Mar. 28, 1944 and is buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Chickasaw County, IA.

Sgt. Blichmann served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 728th Bomb Squadron and was MIA/FOD/KIA when his B-17 aircraft received a direct flak hit, went into a spin and crashed near Chateaudun Airfield, France.

Carl Cyril Blichmann was born Aug. 2, 1922 to Carl Lester and Elsie L. Rooney Blichmann. He died Jan. 26, 1944 and is buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Chickasaw County, IA.

Sgt. Blichmann served in World War II with the U.S. Army 133rd Infantry, 34th Infantry Division and was KIA in Cassino, Italy while serving his country.

Lester Roy Blosch was born Sept. 11, 1910 to George and Minnie Messerkenecht Blosch. He died Mar. 19, 1945 and was buried at sea and memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 5, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, Dubuque, IA.

Petty Officer Blosch served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Franklin (CV-13) and was MIA/KIA when his ship was struck by a Japanese dive bomber while serving in the South Pacific.
