Lt. Col. Kelly served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He also served in Korea and Vietnam.

1st Lt. Klinker served in World War II with the U.S. Army 91st Field Artillery Battalion, 1st Armored Division and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
