Robert G. Quick was born Sept. 5, 1923 to George W. and Cora C. Quick. He died July 28, 1944 and is buried in Elmwood Cemetery, De Witt, IA. He was initially buried in USAF Cemetery Guam 1, Anan, Guam and returned to the U.S. in 1948.
Cpl. Quick served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps 9th Marines, 3rd Marine Division and was KIA in combat operations on Guam.
