Lewis Clifton Stahl was born in 1920 to Lewis Henry and Hester L. Stahl. He died Aug. 10, 1943, was buried at sea, and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cherokee, IA.

Petty Officer Stahl served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Vincennes (CA-44) and was MIA/FOD/KIA when that ship was sunk in the Battle of Savo Island. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Eldon Lewis Stanford was born Oct. 3, 1925 to William B. and Elma Mae Leeds Stanford. He died Dec. 22, 1996 and is buried in Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bremerton, WA.

Eldon served on World War II with the U.S. Navy Amphibious Forces 7th Fleet and Naval Service Force 7th Fleet.

Theo Leeds Stevenson was born June 3, 1922 to Elgin C. and Edna B. Leeds Stevenson. He died Sept. 27, 2008 and is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Aurelia, IA.

Theo served in World War II with the U.S. Navy with the Bureau of Ships in Washington, D.C. At the end of the war he was stationed in Hawaii and was in charge of discharging naval personnel.

Malcolm Paul Stivers was born June 19, 1914 to Ross Timothy and Bertha E. Leonard Stivers. He died Mar. 7, 1996 and is buried in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.

Sgt. Stivers served in World War II with the U.S. Army 1st Infantry Division 1st Medical Battalion and was on Omaha Beach on D-Day.

Darrell served in World War II with the U.S. Army Infantry 40th Division in the Philippines. He also served in Europe as a driver for General Lucius Clay.
