Paul Alexander Frank was born Sept. 13, 1922 to Alexander and Lauretta Tharp Frank. He died May 2, 1945 and is buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Lemay, MO.
Lt. Frank served with the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II as a part of Marine Air Group 31 at Moret Field Zamboanga, supporting operations of the U.S. 8th Army in the Sulu Archipelago and Mindanao. While flying as co-pilot he was shot down and all hands on board were killed. The aircraft was found after the war but the remains were unable to individually identified so they were buried in a group burial in Saint Louis, MO.
