Maurice served in World War II with the U.S. Navy in the Aleutian Islands and South Pacific. While in the South Pacific he survived being wounded and the sinking of three ships.

Bloxham served with the U.S. Army 8th Engineer Squadron in World War II. He fought in the battle of Luzon and was awarded the Bronze Star.
