Know ye, That Louis Arnold a Private of Captain A.L. Ames Company, (L), 6th Regiment of Iowa Cavalry VOLUNTEERS, who was enrolled on the sixth (6) day of November one thousand eight hundred and Sixty two to serve Three years, or during the war, is hereby Discharged from the service of the United States, this 15th day of July 1864, at Davenport Iowa by reason of Surgeons Certificate of Disability.

[No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist.*)

Said Louis Arnold was born in [blank] in the State of Braunschwig, is Thirty Five years of age, Five feet nine inches high, Dark complexion, Brown eyes, Dark hair and by occupation when enrolled a Mill Wright.

Given at Davenport Iowa , this fifteenth day of July 1864.
