Know ye, That Alexander Moody a Private of Captain 1st Lieut Sampson P. Hughes Company, (L), 7th Regiment of Iowa Cavalry VOLUNTEERS, who was enrolled on the Twenty Ninth day of February one thousand eight hundred and Sixtyfour to serve Three years, or during the war, is hereby Discharged from the service of the United States, this 22nd day of June 1866, at Sioux City Iowa by reason of G.O. No. 33 Dept M. March 10, 1866.

[No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist.)

Said Alexander Moody was born in ------ in the State of Ohio, is 27 years of age, 6 feet 3 inches high, fair complexion, blue eyes, Brown hair and by occupation when enrolled a Farmer.

Given at Sioux City Iowa , this Twenty second day of June 1866.
