December 16, 2009:  Added photos of  Levi Downs store.

December 2, 2009:  Added   Sampson Family photos.

December 1, 2009:  Added   Unknown Cavalry Parade photo.  Can anyone help us with further identification?

November 20, 2009: Added transcription of "Churches" from the History of Cass County, Iowa by Lafe Young, published in 1877, which provides an early history of the various churches in Cass County.

November 18, 2009: Added transcriptions of a "Miscellaneous" section from the History of Cass County, Iowa by Lafe Young published in 1877.   Included is a short history of the various townships, "Miscellaneous" - Townships, some short news items, "Miscellaneous" - News Items, and a history of the county ferry boat, "Miscellaneous" - Ferry Boat.

November 13, 2009: Added a transcription of the history of various lodges and other societies, "Societies".  Added a transcription of the history of county schools, "School Matters".  Added a transcription of the history of the Atlantic and Lewis cemetery associations, "Associations".  All have been transcribed from the History of Cass County, Iowa by Lafe Young published in 1877.

November 12, 2009: Added "The Press" transcribed from the History of Cass County, Iowa by Lafe Young published in 1877.

November 11, 2009: Added 1877 Atlantic Business Directory transcribed from the History of Cass County, Iowa by Lafe Young published in 1877.

November 5, 2009: Added 8 additional biographies from the  History of Cass County, Iowa by Lafe Young published in 1877.

November 3, 2009: Added vintage photo of the Atlantic Flour Mill.  Also added vintage photo of the Rock-Island Bridge to Historic Postcards/Photos of Atlantic.

October 8, 2009: Added vintage photo of  Atlantic Fire Team and Wagon No. 1. Began reorganization of church record pages and added  German Evangelical Peace Church Marriages in 1911.

October 1, 2009: Added 10 additional biographies from the  History of Cass County, Iowa by Lafe Young published in 1877.  Added some general history of Cass County opera houses, and specifically the Atlantic Opera House, including a photo post card postmarked 1912.

September 19, 2009: Added 15 additional biographies from the  History of Cass County, Iowa by Lafe Young published in 1877.

September 11, 2009: Added 22 additional biographies from the  History of Cass County, Iowa by Lafe Young published in 1877.

September 8, 2009: Added photo of the  Johann Meents family farmhouse in 1892.

September 7, 2009: Added an index and 10 biographies from the  History of Cass County, Iowa by Lafe Young published in 1877.

May 13, 2009: Added transcription of Copenhagen police records of Danish Emigration to Griswold and Wiota. Data previously displayed for Griswold and Wiota was all erroneous. Also added Danish Emigration to Lewis.

May 8, 2009: Added photo of Atlantic High School circa 1909.   Added Atlantic High School Graduating Classes 1878-1879.
