It does not appear that Dorothy C. Cora Duncan was born in Wright County, Iowa, but rather in Jackson County, Iowa.

Jackson County, Iowa Birth Records:
Dorothy C. Duncan was born on March 6, 1900 in Miles City, Jackson County, Iowa. On the record her parents are listed as William Duncan and Estella Durn.

The family is enumerated in the 1900 Census in Iowa township, Jackson County, Iowa; The family consists of William Duncan (March 1861, Iowa); Estella Duncan (October 1865, Iowa); Bessie Duncan (December 1891, Iowa); Violet Duncan (December 1895, Iowa); Arthur Duncan (December 1897, Iowa); and Dorothy Duncan (3 months old, born March 1900); By 1910 they are in Greeley, Oklahoma.
