I recently returned from a trip to Norway. While there I learned more about my great-grandfather's sister, Elizabeth. We found the obituary for her in my cousin's home in Norway. We have translated the obituary into English. Elizabeth married Oliver R. Thompson in 1882. Elizabeth died in 1923 and was buried in the cemetery in Goldfield, Iowa next to her son, Lewis. At the time of her death she was survived by her husband, 3 sons, Andrew, Tommy and Elmer and a daughter, Mrs. Kari Enge. I would like to share family history with anyone who is willing. I just spent two wonderful weeks on the very farm where Elizabeth was born and reared. I took a lot of pictures. I enjoy locating relatives and sharing stories and family history.
