Heart Attack Fatal To R. Sheumaker
Rupert R. “Bill” Sheumaker, 51 died of a heart attack in his sleep about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at his home in Lyle. Mr. Sheumaker was born Sept. 15, 1904, at Wiota, Iowa, but had spent most of his life in the Meltonville vicinity where he moved with parents when 13 years old. He was married in January 1951, to Mrs. Anna Marie Dreher, after which they moved to Lyle where they had operated a restaurant. He had been in good health and there was no warning of his death. He is survived by two brothers, Harold of Carpenter and Frank of the Meltonville vicinity, also two sisters, Mrs. Guy Pike, Otranto, and Mrs. Wilmer Krahn, of the Lyle vicinity. Funeral rites tentatively have been set for Friday afternoon at the Lutheran church in St. Ansgar with the Rev. Olaf Langehough in charge.
