William Gilbert Vandenburgh is buried in Meditation -- plot 202 in Memorial Park Cemetery, 6605 Morningside Avenue, Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa. The funeral home at that time was the Manning-O'Toole funeral home which was bought out and is now the Meyer Brothers funeral home, 3220 Stone Park Blvd., Sioux City, Iowa.

12 February 1868 ---- 12 April 1952
William G. VanDenburgh, 85, Sioux City, a retired railway mail clerk, died Monday at a hospital after a sickness of more than two months. Mr. VanDenburgh had been a resident of Sioux City 55 years. He was a member of the Masonic lodge and the Railway Mail Clerks association. For many years he was a clerk in the mail service on the Burlington and Milwaukee railroad lines. His wife died in 1950. Survivors are two sons. Lyle of Merrill, Ia., and Robert W. in the navy stationed at Norfolk, Va., a daughter, Mrs. Eva Yates of San Francisco, Cal.; three brothers, Earl of Milford, Ia., George and Stanley, both of Armstrong, Ia., and three grandchildren. The body was taken to the Manning-O'Toole funeral home.Le Mars Globe Post --- Lemars, Iowa
