Robin:
Our grandparents were named Chester Jorgensen and Ida Patton (maiden).
Chester was one of six sons named: Emory, Ed, Albert, Otto and Louis.
Their father was named Neils Jorgensen. Neils moved to the US from Sjaelland, Denmark in 1888. He died at the age of 70 in Edmore, MI. He was a resident of Edmore for 51 years.
I have a copy of Neils' obituary. I will send you a copy with the pictures when I get them all together. The obituary does not give a date of birth or death. It does not list his wife or what his age was when he moved to the US.
My mom's (Kathy) sister (Aunt Peggy)keeps a family geneology chart. She would know more information than I. You may contact her at: pavipond@hotmail.com I will email her to let her know you may be contacting her with a request for information. I think she does everything online and there may be a site you can go to for more information. Just let her know you are my half sister when you write her and she'll respond.
Why didn't you ever ask me about this? I have stayed in contact with the Jorgensen family since I was a kid and could have given you the information then.
Anna
