May 27, 1939 - May 5, 2024

MAXWELL - Anna Prince, 84, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024, with her family at her side in Maxwell, IA. There will be a private graveside memorial and burial at Calvary Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa.

Anna Louise Wagner was born on May 27, 1939, in Sioux City, Iowa, to William and Mary Ann (Malinoski) Wagner. She spent her childhood in Sioux City and graduated from Bishop Heelan Catholic High School before pursuing further education at Briar Cliff. Anna's professional life included roles as a bartender and manager at Cheers Lounge in Sergeant Bluff. Following her retirement, she served as a Funeral Assistant at Meyer Brothers Funeral Homes.

Anna enjoyed many hobbies that included crocheting, solving puzzles, completing crosswords puzzles, and listening to Andrew Lloyd Weber music. She was also a passionate sports enthusiast, supporting the Green Bay Packers and cheering for Tiger Woods in golf tournaments. Time spent with children, grandchildren and friends is what Anna treasured most, whether it was talking on the phone, boating at Lake Okoboji, Anna cherished relationships with others.

Anna will be deeply missed by her children, Joan (Ted) Frost of Austin, TX, Jeff (Gina) Prince of McKinney, TX, James Prince of Saint Clair, MO, and Joe (Carolyn) Prince of Maxwell, IA; and eight grandchildren. Along with her parents, William and Mary Ann Wagner, Anna was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Prince, and a sister, Vina Vickrey.
