She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Grove on January 15, 1993 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Marshalltown. Pat primarily was dedicated to caring for her family but she worked part time for Wolfe Eye Clinic doing their patient transport to and from their appointments.

She spent most time being a grandma and being with her grandkids as much as she was able to do so.

Those left to remember and cherish her memory are her husband of 31 years, Bob Grove; her children, Jeff Vieth, Kathy (Pat) Kopsa, Todd (Michelle) Grove, Stacey Partida, Deb Grove and Melissa (Jacob) Grove; her grandchildren, Emily, Michelle, Whitney, Matt, Jeremy, Ali, Cody, Levi, Austin, Makayla and Dylan; numerous great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
