In Response To: Otto August Weber (David Weber)

Hi David - I don't have a whole lot of info on this family line, so I'm learning as I go... there is a note on him in my ancestry tree from another ancestry user, where it states he emigrated over when he was about 3 years old. Then there is another document showing a 22 year old Otto Weber leaving as "steerage" from London, arriving in New York on the ship "Atlanta"

I show him as the son of Joseph and Maria Anna (Ott) Weber. He married Johanna Elizabeth Huinker in 1868 (apparently) in West Union, Fayette, County, Iowa. Again, there are no sources at this time to back up the info. I believe they were the parents of 9 children.

Johanna's headstone states she was born in 1840, but there is speculation she was much younger than that. She is buried at the St. Mary's Cemetery in Festina, Winneshiek Co., Iowa.

Not able to verify when Otto died, nor where he is buried.
