On New Year’s day at noon occurred the marriage of Miss Laura Harkness and Dr. James Nixon of Lake Benton, Minn., at the home of the bride’s father, Mr. Edwin Harkness, Rev. Mettam officiating. The happy couple left on the afternoon train for a short wedding tour and will be at home at Lake Benton after Feb. 1st.
