Friday, February 18, 1910Peter Erickson was born at Frodinge Foisamling Kahlmar Lan, Sweden Dec. 11, 1852. He came to America 1882, living in Dayton six years, where he was married to Hannah Carlson in 1889. This union was blessed with seven children, four sons and three daughters. Later he moved to Clay township where he lived the remainder of his days, passing from this life February 8, 1910, aged 57 years, one month, 28 days. His funeral services were held from the Mission church last Sunday, Rev. J. E. Widen conducting the services. His remains were laid to rest in the Dayton cemetery. He leaves a wife, seven children, two sisters, one brother and other relatives and friends.
Andrew Carlson of Hartington who was called here by the serious illness of his brother, Peter Erickson three weeks ago, returned to his home Tuesday.

Thursday, February 16, 1905Mrs. Johanna Erickson, who has made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Swanson for about three or four years, died last Friday, the tenth of February at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 10 days. Her husband died some over a year ago. Mrs. Erickson was buried from the Lutheran church, Rev. Selander preaching her funeral sermon, and the remains were taken to the Dayton cemetery and laid to rest.
