Funeral Saturday
Mrs. Edward Gorman was Fifty-Nine At The Time of Her DeathThe funeral services over the remains of Mrs. Edward Gorman, who died late Wednesday night of diabetes, will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 from Sacred Heart church, Rev. Father Heelan officiating. Interment will be made in the Catholic cemetery. The calling away of Mrs. Gorman was untimely and her family is deprived of a mother before she had reached the age of sixty. In November on the first of the month, she would have reached her sixtieth milestone, but, after some months of suffering, death claimed her.
Annie Haire, who afterward became Mrs. Gorman, was born in New York City and moved from there to Freeport, Illinois, where she was married December 24, 1866 to Edward Gorman. They lived in Byron, Illinois, until they came to Fort Dodge in the year 1870 and since that time they have made their continuous residence in Fort Dodge. Mr. Gorman, four sons, one daughter, one brother and two sisters survive to mourn the deceased. They are James, Will, Frank and Edward; Mrs. W. E. Miles, John Haire, of Stuart, Ill.; Mrs. Margaret Bouton of Pecatonica, Ill., and Mrs. B. Howe, of Varina, Iowa.
