I need my great-grandfather, James Mulligan's, birth date (I have 1813) and place of birth in Ireland as I am going to Ireland. He was a private in the Civil War Iowa Regiment 8 Infantry in Union army and lost an eye in the battle of Gettysburg and received a $6.00 monthly pension. Immigrated about 1852 and married Mary/Margaret/Rose Armstrong (1830-32 in Belfast) about 1853 and lived in Fort Dodge, Iowa & died there 5 Jan 1878.
