G. Jacobs dies at 80

N. Glenn Jacobs, 80, 55 North Cromwell, died today at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

the funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Jonathan Simmons officiating. Simmons officiating. Interment will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington wiht(err) Masonic gravside rites.

Jacobs was born May 24, 1898 in Washington, the son of Henry Edwards and Georgia Belle Reeves Jacobs.

He was reared and educated in Washington. The family moved to Fairfield in 1927. He owned and operated the Wardrobe Cleaners on North Main Street for many years. He was also a custodian at Logan School.

He married Jessie Ruth Dodd in Washington on December 16, 1916. She preceded him in death January 13, 1968.

He was a member of Clinton Lodge No. 15, AF&AM.

He is survived by one daughter, Betty Kasowski of Fairfield; one granddaughter, Patricia Kasowski of Chicago, Ill., and one sister, Maude Stang of Morro Bay, Calif.
