Lyle Luckey, 43, Dies in Auto Crash
Riverside – Lyle Luckey, 43-year old Riverside man, was killed Friday night in a one-car crash. His car overturned on Iowa 22 one mile east of Lone Tree.
Mr. Luckey, formerly of Minneapolis, had been living with his mother, Mrs. Marge Luckey, at Riverside since the death of his father on July 22 of this year.
The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Sorden and Adams funeral Home with the Rev. W. F. Boeckman in charge. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Luckey had spent most of his life in and near Riverside. He had been employed as a well driller and photographer, and at the time of his death was working for the Sammons Construction Co. on a sewer project at Lone Tree.
Mr. Luckey was born May 17, 1920 at Riverside, a son of the late Carl Luckey and Mrs. Marguerite Annas Luckey of Riverside. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors are his mother; three brothers, Dale of Detroit, Mich., Fred of Riverside, and James of Ladora; seven sisters: Mrs. Clarence Wilson and Mrs. Merle Blieu of Washington, Mrs. James Benish of Richardson, Texas, Dr. Virginia Moldenhauer of Chicago, Mrs. Glen Miller of Solon, Mrs. Patricia Strickland of Baxter, Mrs. Larry Flanagan of Marengo.
