Pauline L. Harper, 83, 703 South D St., died a 4:15 a.m. today, Jan 11, 1990, at Jefferson County Hospital.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bonifacio Mequi officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-6 p.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home. The family would appreciate memorials to the Senior Citizen Center of Jefferson County Hospital.
Mrs. Harper was born Aug. 10, 1906, at Bonaparte, the daughter of O.R. and Georgia B. Humphryes Junkins. She grew up in Bonaparte and lived in south Dakota and Birmingham before the family moved to Fairfield. She graduated from Fairfield High School and Parsons College and was a former school teacher. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sarah Circle and a co-founder of the 3-H Club. She married Paul H. Harper Dec. 31, 1932, at the Methodist parsonage in Memphis, Mo. He died Sept. 5, 1990.
Surviving are five children, Robert W. of Midwest City, Okla., William K. of Charlottesville, Va., Betty J. Hootman of Fairfield, Barry D. of Rolling Hills Estates, Calf., Bonny J. Adams of Arlington, Texas; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a brother, Hal Junkins of Tempe, Ariz. A brother, George, preceded her in death.
