Cloyce Maxwell
Cloyce V. Maxwell, 71, of 910 E. Adams St., Washington, died Wednesday, May 2, 1990, at the Washington County Hospital.
Born May 19, 1918, in Washington, he was the son of Lloyd and Genie Alice Huffman Maxwell. He married Nina Oge July 31, 1937, in Mount Pleasant. He later married Margurite Black Dusenberry May 19, 1973, in Washington.
He was a member of the VFW and the Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a security guard at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, retiring in 1976 with 28 years of service.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, William R. Maxwell, Bonaparte, Francis E. Maxwell, Loveland, Colo., and Richard L. Maxwell, West Burlington; two daughters, Mrs. Judith (Donald R.) Moyer, Burlington, and Mrs. Karen M. (Melvin) Ash, Douds; two stepdaughters, Mrs. JoAnn (William) Davis and Mrs. Lee Ann (Michael) McFarland, both of Washington; two brothers, Rodney Maxwell, Elephant Butte, N.M., and Paul Maxwell, Kearney, Neb.; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one step-granddaughter.
Friends may call as they desire at the Eden Funeral Home, Washington, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.
The service for Mr. Maxwell will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Eden Funeral Home, Washington, with the Rev. Mary Johnston officiating. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington.
A memorial has been established.
