Ernest Peterson, 88, Bonaparte, died at 6:17 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, 1989 at Fort Madison Community Hospital.
Mr. Peterson was born November 13, 1901 at Newall, Iowa. A retired farmer, he moved to Bonaparte from Elkton, South Dakota in1985. He was of the Lutheran Faith.
He first married Eleanor Ruthven, who preceded him in death. He later married Marguerite Hunter, who also preceded him in death.
Surviving are two sons, Arvid of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and Harvey of Fort Madison; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A daughter preceded him in death. His parents were Elof and Mary Peterson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 14, 1989 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington with Pastor Bob Dodds officiating. Burial was in Forest Cemetery, Oskaloosa.
