Nancy Walters

Nancy Jane Walters, 49, 813 E. Williams, Ottumwa died Sept. 24, 1989 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.

She was born July 23, 1940, in Davis County to Hubert and Mary Foster Stockham. She was a bookkeeper for Bill and Gib Anderson Insurance Company in Bloomfield and later owner and operator of Nancy's Flowers in Bloomfield. She moved to Ottumwa in 1986. She graduated from Thornburg High School in 1958. She was a member of(err) member of BPW in Bloomfield. She was a former city council member at Pulaski. She married Merlin Walters Feb. 4, 1967 in Lancaster, Mo.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Starla, at home; and her mother, Mary Stockham, of Ottumwa.

The service was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 1989 in Bloomfield, the Rev. Marilyn Butler officiating. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. A memorial has been established to the family.
