Fred D. Dietsch

Fred D. Dietsch, 85, of Bonaparte, died 12:05 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 1989 at Fort Madison Community Hospital.

Born December 21, 1903 in Sperry, he was the son of William and Della Wasson Dietsch. He married Minnie Rudy, December 21, 1926 in Burlington.

He was a farmer and had moved to Bonaparte in 1967. He was a member of Fairfield Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Donald Dietsch, Gastonia, North Carolina; two daughters, Edith Jenkins of Gulfport, Mississippi and Margaret Olsen of Fort Madison; two brothers, William Dietsch, Berryville, Arkansas and Delzell Dietsch, Burlington; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

The service for Mr. Dietsch was held Tuesday, March 28, 1989 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home with Lothar Lengtat officiating. Burial was in Prairie Grove Cemetery, north of Burlington.

A memorial has been established.
