Frank S. Parker, 84, of Yolo, Calif., formerly of Douds, died July 21, 1989, at a rest home in Woodland, Calif.
He was born Feb. 2, 1905, in Davis County, south of Selma, to Dallas and Evea Alexander Parker. He grew up near Selma and farmed in the Selma and Douds communities. He lived for a number of years in California. He was a member of Woodland Christian Church, and had been active in Christ United Methodist Church in Douds. He had served on the school board in Douds and was active in Boy Scouts. He married Weltha Plowman on May 11, 1927, in Bloomfield; she died Jan. 26, 1984.
He is survived by three sons, Darrell of Denver, Colo., Vergal of Barstow, Calif.; Veryle of Yolo, Calif.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Robinson of Bloomfield; and a stepsister, Reva Nicklin of Floris.
The service and burial was in California.
