Roger L. Kite

Roger L. Kite, 24, Farmington collapsed and died at about 6 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 1989 while playing softball at Bonaparte.

Mr. Kite was born November 14, 1964 at Fort Madison. He was a lifelong resident of Farmington and was a truck driver for Crouse Cartage Co. of Fort Madison. He was a member of the Bonaparte Baptist Church. He served four years in the Navy.

On January 15, 1983 at Bonaparte, he married Dianna Schlicher, who survives.

Also surviving are his parents, Otis and Bessie Harfield Kite, Farmington; two sons, Christopher and Sean, both at home; five brothers, Otis, Jr. and Joe, both of Farmington, Lloyd and Robert, both of Bonaparte, and Gerald of Meridian, Mississippi; two sisters, Cyrillis Jenkins, Bonaparte, and Brenda Cochran, Mt. Sterling.

Services were held Wednesday, August 16, 1989 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington. Pastor Bob Dodds officiated. Burial was in the Croton Cemetery.
