Roderick Dean Wolf

Roderick Dean Wolf, 72, 1216 Ave. B, died at 12:22 p.m., Friday, Feb. 24, at Burlington Medical Center. He had been ill 13 months.

Mr. Wolf was born Dec. 9, 1915, at Mount Zion, Ia. He retired from the Huntington Beach Union High School District at Huntington Beach, Calif. He moved to Fort Madison from Santa Ana, Calif., 7 1/2 years ago. He was a member of the First Christian Church and sang in the choir. He was a past master of Huntington Beach Lodge No. 380 A.F. & A.M., a past patron of Seaside Chapter No. 259 of the Order of Eastern Star of Huntington Beach and was a former Masonic district inspector. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

On Oct. 7, 1939, at Yuma, Ariz., he married Lois Hawkins, who survives.

Also surviving are nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. His parents were Galen and Weltha Sherod Wolf.

The body has been cremated. Memorial services will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the First Christian Church. The Rev. Don Eskew will officiate. The family will meet friends at the church following the service.

The King-Lynk Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
