Ralph Burden

Ralph W. Burden, 77, of Cedar Rapids died July 6, 1989, at St. Luke's Hospital following a long illness.

He was born Jan. 7. 1912, in Birmingham. He worked as a Massey-Ferguson Implement dealer in Pulaski and as a lathe operator at Rockwell-Collins. He retired in 1977. He was a 50-year Mason, and a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge in Bloomfield, El Kahir Shrine, Cedar Rapids Consistory, High 12, White Shrine Eastern Star Malta Chapter and Hope United Church of Christ. He married Maxine Pierce Dec. 19, 1964 in Pulaski.

He is survived by his wife; a stepson, Timothy J. Pierce of Hiawatha; a stepdaughter, Betty Bowers of Overbrook, Kan.; five stepgrandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.

The service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 1989 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial was in Cedar Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Crippled Children Hospital and St. Luke's Stroke Club.
