Cleola P. Miller

Cleola P. Miller, 93 of 320 S. Dubuque, Iowa City, Iowa died Sunday, June 4, 1989 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a short illness.

She was born Nov. 15, 1895 in Stockport, the daughter of George and Anna Johnston. She married Harley Miller Dec. 23, 1917. He died in 1932.

Mrs. Miller was employed many years at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Iowa City as a nurse's aid(aide). She retired during the 1960's. Prior to her work at the VA, she was employed at the Oakdale Medical Classification Center. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Iowa City.

Survivors include three sons, Harley Miller of Eddyville, Gene Miller of Fayette, Mo., Carson Miller, Glendale, Ariz.; one daughter, Betty (Mrs. August Truffer) of Pleasanton, Calif., 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers, two sisters.

Burial and graveside services will be Thursday at 1:30 P.M. at the Spencer Cemetery in Stockport. A memorial fund has been established.
