We note in a Fairfield paper the pledging of Miss Sara Van Buskirk to the Empyrean Literary Society of Parson's college. Miss Sara is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Ban(Van) Buskirk of this place, and ranked very highly in student activities and scholarship, being grouped in the one-eighth of the student body, receiving the highest grades the previous semester. The society is of literary motive and has a house on the campus where the members may live. It replaces the modern sorority so popular in American colleges.
