MAX KILGORE, CRESTON
Max Stanley Kilgore, 68, 1303 N. Cherry Street, died Oct. 2, 1991, at Greater Community Hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Salem Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dan Mixdorf will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery at Prescott. There is open visitation after 10:30 a.m. today at the Coen-Beaty Funeral Home in Creston. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Mr Kilgore as born Oct. 8, 1923, in Adams County to Charlie and Choloe (Lane) Kilgore. He was a lifetime resident of the Creston area. He married Margaret Bradshaw Sept. 22, 1944, in Madison, Wis. He served as a baseball coach for the Pee-Wee Leagues for several years. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army Air Force. He operated a vehicle business.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Kilgore of Creston; a daughter, Kay Carson of Shedahl; two sons, Randal of Atlantic and Rudy Kilgore of Creston; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three sisters, Fayrene Krisinger of Creston, Hazel Tillman of Portland, Oregon, and Geneva Jeffryes of Creston.
