Mrs. Roy Haynes, 75, a resident of Creston since 1918 died at the Greater Community Hospital here at 7:30 a.m. today. Her death followed a long illness. Her homes was at 506 North Poplar Street.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Coens Home for Funerals here. Rev. Traverse Harrison, pastor of the First Christian church, will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Her body will lie in state at the funeral home until time of the services. The casket will not be opened after the services.
Florence E. Baker was born at Grand River, Aug. 5, 1891. She was the daughter of William H. and Elizabeth [wrong should be Margaret] Beck Baker. She was married at Leon, in 1908, to Roy Haynes. They moved to Creston from Grand River in 1918 and have lived here since that time.
Mrs. Haynes is survived by her husband; two sons, Glen [n] and Eldon Haynes, both of Creston; a daughter Margaret Cregeen of Clarinda; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She also is survived by a brother, Li [y]man Baker of Kellerton, and three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Stephens of Emmetsburg, Mrs. Fern Brown of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Mrs. Elizabeth McConnell of Oakland, Calif.
