Last Sunday morning occurred the marriage of Miss Marie Cole and Daniel C. Roberts, the ceremony being performed at Kansas City by Rev. J. N. Moore. The bride is an Afton girl, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. S. C. Cole, but the past two years has been employed in Kansas City. She is an accomplished young lady and has a host of friends in this community.

Mr. Roberts is a son of G. W. Roberts of Meade County, Kansas, and a fine appearing young man. They came to Afton Sunday, driving thru in an auto and will visit here until today [Thursday] when they will return to Kansas City and on to Plains, Kansas where they will make their home. The Roberts family have large land holdings in that section and raise much wheat.

The happy Couple have the congratulations and best wishes of a host of friends.
