This is to certify that I have this day, May 13, 1898, given my son, Benjamin R. Rusk and to my daughter, Maggie M. Rusk, their time and they and each of them are from and after this day emancipated from their period of minority and may contract and be contracted with as adults.

All parties are hereby warned from extending them or either of them, any credit on my account; as I shall pay no debts of their contracting after this date.
