LAMB-YOUNKIN WEDDING

A very pretty wedding was solemnized at eight o'clock on Thursday evening at the home of Mr. & Mrs. J. R. Lamb north of Afton, when their daughter, Maxine, became the bride of Mr. Clarence Younkin of Lorimor.

Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. LeRoy Parrott, accompanied by Mrs. Dale Foreman, sang "I Love You Truly". Mrs. Foreman played Lohengrin's Wedding March as the bridal party took their places beneath an archway of blue and white banked with roses and baby's breath.

The Reverand Mr. Clare Boos of Afton, read the single ring ceremony in the presence of twenty-eight relatives and friends. Immediately following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served.

Those present included: Mr. & Mrs. Ed Younkin; Mr. & Mrs. Jeter and son, Mr. & Mrs. Dale Foreman; Mr. & Mrs Ivan Younkin; Mr. & Mrs. Charlie Lamb and Kathryn; Mr. & Mrs. Cloyd lamb and Richard; Mr. & Mrs. Homer Kline; Mr. & Mrs. LeRoy Parrott; Miss Pauline Young and the Rev. Mr. & Mrs. Clare Boos and Clarence.

Mrs. Younkin is a graduate of the Creston High School and the Creston Junior College. Since her graduation she has been a very successful teacher in Dodge No. 1 school for the past two years. Mr. Younkin, who is a former resident of Dodge Township, is established in business in Lorimor where they will make their home.
