FORD-SAYLOR

A quiet wedding took place on Tuesday, June 15, at 11:00 at the home of B.F. Ford, whose daughter, Myrtle Bernice and J. Ernest Saylor of Creston were united in marriage. The wedding march was played by Miss Mary Saylor, sister of the groom. The ceremony performed by Rev. H. S. Baum---[few letters missing], pastor of M.E Church of ---[Afton or Creston] IA. Only immediate relatives witnessed the ceremony.

The bride is the only daughter of B. F. Ford of Afton, IA., and has grown to womanhood in Union County having taught school for a number of years and has been the 8th grade teacher in the Afton school for the past fourteen years. She has also been an active church worker.

The groom is the son of Mrs. ---- Saylor of Creston. He was born and raised at Creston and is the type of manhood respected and trusted by all who knew him. He is industious and has a beautiful home prepared for the bride.

After a wedding trip to Forest City and other points of interest in northern Iowa, they will be at home four and half miles north of Creston.
