OBITUARY:
FILBERT FUNERAL AT SHARPSBURG:
Mrs. Lydia Filbert, 87, died Wednesday January 15 at the Lenox Rest Home. The funeral was Saturday at the Sharpsburg United Presbyterian Church, the Rev. James E. Eddy officiating.

The daughter of Van R. and Martha Hodge Strong, the deceased was born March 18, 1876 north of Sharpsburg, and lived in that vicinity all of her life until four years ago when she entered the Lenox Rest Home.

February 2, 1898 she was married to Edd Filbert. They were the parents of three children, Mrs. Earl (Martha) Shaffer of Villisca, Clyde of Adair, and Mrs. Loran (Cora)Boyer of Silver City. These with 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren survive.

Mrs. Filbert was a charter member of the Sharpsburg Presbyterian Church.
