Dr. Hulda Rice Died in Cedar Rapids

Dr. Hulda Frandson Rice, 73, died in Cedar Rapids, Friday. Funeral services were Tuesday in Cedar Rapids.

Dr. Rice was born on the Frandson farm two and one-half mile southwest of Story City, August 1884. She grew to womanhood in the community, attending Iowa State college, Ames and later Still college of Osteopathy, in Des Moines. Before moving to Cedar Rapids, she practiced in Story City and also in Roland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Bert Rice and one sister and two brothers.

She is survived by one son, Hulbert Rice of Cedar Rapids; one daughter, Mrs. Bob Larson (Patricia), Honolulu; three grandchildren; four sisters and five brothers.
