OBITUARY
MRS. M. C. WIERSON
Mrs. Ingeborg Helene Wierson (nee Larson) was born on the Larson homestead northeast of Story City, Feb. 24, 1878, and died at her home in the south part of Story City on Sept. 22, 1937, at the age of 59 years, 6 months, 29 days.
She was a daughter of Iver and Christena Larson (Slettevig) and was baptized and confirmed in the Salem Lutheran church of Roland.
On July 2, 1898, she was married to Martin C. Wierson. To this union ten children were born. One daughter, Cozzette, preceded her mother in death.
Mrs. Wierson was a kind hearted wife, mother and neighbor, and a faithful member of her church. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, six daughters: Mrs. Eli Opstvedt of McCallsburg, Mrs. Emmett Riney of Nevada, Mrs. Howard Hildall of Jewell, Mrs. Earl Clayberg of Story City, Mrs. Robert Larson and Florence at home; three sons, Marion of Roland, Irving and Richard at home; and 14 grandchildren; one brother, Swen Larson, and three sisters, Mrs. David Cooper of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Chas. Christiansen of Albion and Mrs. Eric Henderson of Story City.
Funeral services were held in the Immanuel church on Saturday, Sept. 25, with Rev. T. T. Heimarck officiating, with a large number of friends and relatives in attendance. The pall bearers were Wier Erickson, Harry Henderson, Arthur Thorsbakken, Arthur Carpenter, Carl Holland and Oscar Vangness. Interment took place in the Fairview cemetery.
