Erickson Funeral This Afternoon

Martin Erickson, 84, a resident of Story City for the past twenty years, died at his home here Sunday at 1 p. m.

Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon with prayer at the home at 1:30 and the funeral proper at St. Petri church with Rev. Sumstad of Bergen church, Roland, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, Story City.

Mr. Erickson was one of the pioneers of Warren township, coming there in an early day, acquiring land and developing a farm a mile north of McCallsburg, where he raised his family of seven children and where his first wife and the mother of his children died. Later he married again and in 1917 retired from the farm and located his home in Story City.

He leaves his wife and seven children. The children are Emma Olson of Ballard, Wash., Anna Johnson of McCallsburg and her twin sister, Ellen Hanson of Minneapolis, Inger Stenus of Chicago, Esther Scoville of near Zearing and Cornelius Erickson of McCallsburg.
