O. O. LEIN OF ROLAND DIED IN DES MOINES

O. O. Lein, 65, of Roland, died Tuesday afternoon in the Iowa Lutheran hospital, Des Moines. His death followed a major operation which he underwent Monday morning. Mr. Lein had been in ill health since Christmas, when he was stricken with flu.

He was born on the Lein homestead west of Roland and lived there until his marriage to Miss Johanna Johnson. After their marriage the couple moved to Roland and farmed a mile west of Roland until 20 years ago. Since than the family has lived in Roland.

The deceased leaves his wife; three children, Gerhard of Canton, S. D.; Louie of Maquoketa; Arvid of Waterville; a twin brother Lars of Huxley; a brother A. A. Lein of Forest City, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Twedt of Roland.

Funeral services are being held today in the Bergen Lutheran church at Roland.
