Orland Clan
Holds ReunionAbout 350 members of the Orland clan gathered at Erickson Park Sunday for the first reunion following the organization meeting last July. Following the basket dinner at noon, a short business meeting conducted by J. E. Michaelsen, president, was held. The time for the reunion was set for the second Sunday in June, and will be held at Erickson park next year.
Officers elected to take charge for next year were Earl. J. Stout of Des Moines, president; Hosea Jondall, vice-president; Mrs. Hosea Jondall, secretary-treasurer. Program and sports committees were also named.
A brief program was then enjoyed, consisting of a talk by J. J. Hill, harmonica and guitar selections by Morris Thompson, reading by Beverly Sampson; song by Gail Michaelson, Elaine Rorem and Helen Waugh; cornet and trumpet duet by Frances Christian and Blanche Williams.
Included among the visitors were Mrs. C. O. Christian, Mrs. George Johnson of Blue Earth, Minn.; Mrs. A. T. Rorem, Eugene, Elaine and Ralph Rorem, Minneapolis; Mrs. Alfred Peterson, Frost, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Holt, Alpha, Minn.; I. O. Erickson and Edward Erickson, Lakefield, Minn., besides others frmo Davenport, Des Moines, Marshalltown, Humboldt, Nevada, Slater, Story City, Williams, Zearing, Hubbard, Garden City, McCallsburg, State Center, Radcliffe, Ames, Laurel, Beamen, Ellsworth, Hampton and Roland.
