Marriage of Homer Boyse and Blanche Sowers Was Unexpected.

Roland, Feb. 20. -The people of this community were surprised Saturday when the announcement was received from Minneapolis of the marriage of Homer Leslie Boyse to Miss Lois Blanche Sowers. When they boarded the train Wednesday at Story City no one suspicioned that they were off to get married. They were married at the home of the groom's cousin, R. N. Ballard, formerly of Radcliffe, but now living at Minneapolis, on Thursday, February 16. The groom is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Boyse, living in southwest Howard [Twp.]. He has been a resident of this township for many years. He is known as one of Howard's solid young men, a man of clean habits and one whose career shows only a strict attention to making a place for himself in the esteem of his fellows. He is a prosperous farmer. His chosen bride is one of the popular and admired daughters of Mr. and Mrs. J.[James] W. Sowers, of Milford township, was born and has grown to womanhood in that community and is considered one of the most poplular young ladies of the community. Friends here can foresee nothing in store for them but years of happy married life. They are expected home this evening. They will be at home to their many friends on the H. [Harry] H. Boyse place after April 1.
