Frans and Marie came over on the ship "British Prince" Landed in Philadelphia on Dec. 16, 1892.
She is listed as a widow and mother of an infant "Gerrit Prince van Beek" described as "1 day old". Since the ship's manifest is completed just before the ship sails, then technically the baby must have been born "in transit" but not "at sea". They both were listed as heading to Maurice (Morris) and "Walter Borges" as their sponsor. Information here indicates they were married in Orange City. But their ages don't jive in different sources. The ships manifest reports they are 1 year apart in age, while data here indicate they are 4 years apart.
