Mary McCabe, 1877-1900
excerpt from her obit in the Hull Index:
"(Mary) received a good common school education and for some time, was a student at the Academy. Five years ago she began the work of
teaching ..."

Would like to learn something about the Academy. Where was it? Who ran it? What was its purpose? Was it a boarding school? Is it still operating?

Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.
